Whilst most Mena-region ‘green hydrogen’ plans look ambitious, some look more ambitious than others. Step forward the government of Mauritania which on 27 September signed an MoU with London-listed minnow Chariot (until recently Chariot Oil & Gas) “to progress a potential green hydrogen development, denominated as ‘Project Nour’, of up to 10GW.”
Yes, that’s 10GW, more than twice the size of Saudi Arabia’s hugely ambitious $5bn 4GW Neom plans which would produce 237,000 t/y of green hydrogen (MEES, 12 February). (CONTINUED - 344 WORDS)
