Though Norway’s Equinor posted its “strongest results” since 2012 in the third quarter, its Algeria assets have continued to disappoint. Combined production at In Salah and In Amenas fell by a 36% to just 707mn cfd in Q3, not far off last year’s Covid-induced crash to 692mn cfd in 2Q20 (MEES, 24 July 2020).
The In Amenas wet gas development’s 404mn cfd gas and 25,500 b/d liquids output in the third quarter was the lowest in more than four years.
