*Egypt’s crude output edged up to 474,000 b/d for October, with the key Western Desert producing region also up at 243,000 b/d (275,000 b/d including condensate). A ramp up in activity by key producer Apache ahead of the approval of new contract terms looks to be beginning to have an impact.
*Apache in its Q3 results on 4 November said that it has already increased its Western Desert rig count to 11 from five earlier this year and plans to further increase activity next year (MEES, 12 November). The overall Western Desert rig count stood at 58 for October, up 19 on a year earlier but still well down on 2018 and 2019 levels (see chart). (CONTINUED - 530 WORDS)
