Masirah Oil only started producing from the Yumna field offshore Oman in February 2020 (MEES, 21 February 2020) but aims to boost production capacity to 30,000 b/d by the end of March. The firm has drilled three wells at Block 50’s Yumna, each of which have flowed at around 10,000 b/d. The latest, Yumna-3, was spudded on 20 January and tested at 12,984 b/d (MEES, 5 February 2020).
Singapore-based Rex International Holding has 86.37% of Masirah and Executive Chairman Dan Broström says the processing capacity of the Yumna Mobile Offshore Production Unit (MOPU) is being upgraded to handle 30,000 b/d, with the expansion expected to be completed in March. (CONTINUED - 159 WORDS)
