Oman-focused Masirah Oil, 85.37% owned by Singapore’s Rex Holding, announced on 1 February that production has begun from a second well on Oman’s offshore Block 50. Output from the Yumna-2 well began on 23 January and is currently 9,000 b/d “constrained by the size of the downhole Electrical Submersible Pump.”
Production of 42° API crude began with the start of production from the Yumna-1 well a year ago (MEES, 21 February 2020). This is currently shut in to enable the completion of tie in work for the second well. A third well, Yumna-3, was spudded on 20 January by Shelf Drilling Tenacious rig to the east of the first two wells. (CONTINUED - 187 WORDS)
