Anglo-Dutch major Shell has ratified agreements on two West Mediterranean blocks offshore Egypt. Shell will operate the North Cleopatra and North Marina blocks with a 63% stake in partnership with US major Chevron (27%) and Egypt state firm Tharwa (10%).
North Cleopatra is directly north of Chevron’s El Dabaa in 2,000-2,500km water depth; North Marina is directly north of US major ExxonMobil’s North Marakia block (MEES, 8 January). (CONTINUED - 153 WORDS)
