Already delayed by 15 months, UK major BP’s Raven field, which forms Phase-3 of the $12bn West Nile Delta (WND) project offshore Egypt has missed its latest Q1 2021 start-up deadline, MEES learns. Pipeline corrosion, seemingly discovered at the last minute, meant start-up was pushed back from end-2019 (MEES, 7 February).
BP in January this year said that the project had again entered the commissioning phase (MEES, 5 February). But leaks at the onshore facility have meant the field has been unable to sustain production. (CONTINUED - 189 WORDS)
