Saudi Arabia is producing 135,000 b/d of crude from the Partitioned Neutral Zone (PNZ) it shares with Kuwait, Saudi energy minister Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman said on 1 April. As output is evenly split, this would translate into 270,000 b/d of total PNZ output. There is now potential to ramp up to full capacity later in the year as Opec+ production restrictions are eased from May (MEES, 9 April).
The Saudi minister was responding to a question at the end of the 1 April Opec+ ministerial meeting as to whether the Opec kingpin was still planning to boost total production capacity to 13mn b/d given the uncertainty of future oil demand growth (MEES, 13 March 2020). (CONTINUED - 467 WORDS)
