Egypt gas output increased again in March, rising to a new high of 7.112bn cfd, overtaking the previous month’s record of 7.048bn cfd (MEES, 9 April). On a quarterly basis Q1’s 6.963bn cfd is up 12% for a new quarterly record.
These records have come as a direct result of Italian firm Eni’s flagship 21.5tcf Zohr gas field, situated in the deep offshore Mediterranean, ramping up output to a near capacity 3bn cfd for Q1. (CONTINUED - 1227 WORDS)
