Receiving Iraqi well-wishers on the occasion of Eid, Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad Iraj Masjedi was quoted in local media saying that Iran is currently “building Iraq’s largest power plant.” Mr Masjedi appeared to be referring to the 3GW Rumaila independent power producer (IPP) project in the country’s second largest city Basra.
