Morocco is set to see its first offshore well in four years with London-based independent Chariot booking the ‘Stena Don’ for a December 2021 appraisal well on the 2009 Anchois gas discovery on the Lixus license.
Spain’s Repsol discovered Anchois in 2009 in 400ms of water 40km offshore. 2C reserves are a modest 0.36tcf but Chariot hopes to more than double this with the end-year well also targeting around 0.6tcf in deeper sand formations. (CONTINUED - 316 WORDS)
