Iran resumed gas exports to Turkey on 21 January, a day after they stopped due to a leak on Iran’s IGAT 9 pipeline at Bazargan (MEES, 27 January). A Turkish official speaking to Reuters said that the Iranians were only sending “around 2-3mn m3/d of gas” (around 70-100mn cfd) and “at low pressure.” This is a steep reduction from the 28mn m3/d Iran is contracted to supply.
Volumes had been running at bumper levels, averaging just below this for the first 10 months of 2021 (8.10bcm, 27mn m3/d, 940mn cfd see chart). (CONTINUED - 157 WORDS)
