Algeria is set to sign a natural gas supply contract worth around 0.3bcm/y (290mn cfd) with Slovenia’s Geoplin in the coming days, according to Slovenian media reports. The deal comes amid ongoing uncertainty over Russian gas supplies to Europe, with Slovenia historically dependent on Russian flows for most of its imports.
Volumes would be supplied via the 33bcm/y Trans Mediterranean Pipeline which traverses Tunisia on its way to Italy which shares a border with Slovenia. Algerian exports to Italy through TransMed are up 13% to 17.3bcm in the first nine months of 2022. (CONTINUED - 155 WORDS)
