Chinese private sector firm UEG is awaiting approval from Iraqi state Basrah Oil Company (BOC) for a 200MW solar PV project it plans to build at its Siba wet gas field in Iraq’s Basra province.
MEES is told that while technical plans have been finalized, UEG has been advised by BOC to keep the project on hold until new minister Hayan Abdulghani completes his handover. (CONTINUED - 797 WORDS)
