North African gas giant Algeria has long-standing plans to create a clean hydrogen sector, but progress in the bureaucratically sluggish country has been slow. That said, a recent announcement by Medgaz, the operator of the namesake 10.5bcm/y pipeline from Algeria to Spain, suggests there is at least some movement.
“Medgaz will carry out during the year 2023 the necessary studies aimed to examine the compatibility of its infrastructures for the transportation of hydrogen and blending with natural gas,” the firm said last month. (CONTINUED - 304 WORDS)
