Israel’s giant Leviathan field produced a record 10.7bcm (1.04bn cfd) of gas in 2021, up 48% on 2020’s 700mn cfd, according to a freshly-released end-2021 reserves report. The Chevron-operated field started up on the last day of 2019 (MEES, 3 January 2020).
The full year output figures, however, imply a dip to 927bn cfd for Q4 from Q3’s record 1.085bn cfd (MEES, 26 November, 2021). Chevron’s recently-released Q4 results paint a similar picture with the firm’s net Israel gas output falling from a record 597mn cfd for Q3 to 530mn cfd for Q4. Chevron operates both Israel’s producing gas fields with 39.66% of Leviathan and 25% of the 10.5tcf Tamar field. (CONTINUED - 537 WORDS)
