Energy Minister Mohamed Arkab on 5 April said Algeria would launch a bid round “soon,” the first under the country’s ‘new’ hydrocarbons law which was enacted in 2019 (MEES, 10 January 2020).
The comments came after a meeting with US Ambassador Elizabeth Moore Aubin, in which Mr Arkab called on American companies to invest in the oil and gas sector.
