Swedish firm Tethys says appraisal of the Al Jumd discovery in Oman’s Block 56 continues apace. The Al Jumd-3 well is currently drilling and will be followed swiftly by Al Jumd-4. ‘The purpose of the two additional [horizontal] wells is to establish resource volumes and determine optimal well productivity levels,” Tethys says.
In 2020, the vertical Al Jumd-1 well flowed at 100 b/d during testing whilst the horizontal Al-Jumd-2 flowed at an initial rate of 700 b/d in testing earlier this year. All three horizontal wells will undergo extended testing in the next quarter. (CONTINUED - 208 WORDS)
