BP on 5 July awarded French geophysical firm CGG a project to shoot 3D seismic over the area surrounding the Atoll field, located in the North el Tabya block, in Egypt’s offshore Nile Delta. Atoll currently produces around 400mn cfd and BP will be hoping that CGG’s new seismic technology will unlock new gas opportunities.
