Two of Libya’s key foreign operators, Eni and TotalEnergies, publicly met with new National Oil Corporation (NOC) head Farhat Bengdara this week, a month after he controversially replaced long-time chairman Mustafa Sanalla (MEES, 15 July).
In a boost to his stature, Mr Bengdara held talks with Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi in Rome and Total CEO Patrick Pouyanné in Paris on 24 August, in which both firms expressed support for his plans to increase production. (CONTINUED - 523 WORDS)
