Adnoc has taken the final investment decision and made EPC awards for its delayed giant Hail and Ghasha Offshore Development project. In a 5 October announcement on the sidelines of the Adipec conference, the Abu Dhabi state energy firm said that the 1.2bn cfd project is due to be completed by the end of the decade.
At a cost of nearly $17bn, the Hail and Ghasha project will play a key role in helping the UAE achieve its aim of gas self-sufficiency by 2030. Adnoc also makes the bold claim that this will be the first such project globally to “operate with net zero carbon dioxide emissions.” (CONTINUED - 796 WORDS)
