Output from Oman’s Blocks 3&4 remains on a downwards trajectory despite repeated statements from a partner at the assets that the worst was in the past. Output dropped to an eight-year low of just 29,980 b/d for 2Q 2023, and just as ominously continued to drop through the quarter.
The latest production figures reported by Swedish minnow Tethys, which holds 30% interest in the blocks alongside operator CCED (50%) and Mitsui (20%), show that production fell to just 29,210 b/d for June, the lowest monthly figure since February 2015. (CONTINUED - 460 WORDS)
