Israeli state utility IEC announced on 18 July that it had annulled a tender for the sale of the 1.68GW gas fired Eshkol power plant in Ashdod after the withdrawal of the ‘winning’ consortium due to an inability to raise the required IS12.4bn ($3.5bn) (MEES, 16 June).
