Oman’s crude oil exports to Europe are on the up, and the three million barrels that have arrived in Europe over the first seven months of 2023 already represent a ten-year high. With more en route, there are clear signs that the trade route is solidifying amid the continued reshaping of trade flows following the displacement of Russian barrels.
The latest government statistics show that a two-year-high 50,000 b/d of crude oil was shipped by Oman to ‘other’ destinations in July, rather than to traditional core buyers such as China, Japan, India and South Korea.
