The Saudi Power Procurement Company (SPPC) has unveiled shortlisted bidders for two solar PV projects with combined capacity of 1.5GW. The 1.1GW Al Hanakia and 400MW Tabarjal plants form the solar power portion of the National Renewable Energy Program’s (NREP) Round 4 which was announced in September 2022 (MEES, 30 September 2022).
NREP Round 4’s overall planned capacity is 3.3GW, with the remaining 1.8GW coming from three wind firms. There has not yet been an announcement regarding bids from Round 4’s wind farm component. (CONTINUED - 530 WORDS)
