London-listed Energean has begun installation of a second oil train at its 2.6tcf Karish project off northern Israel. “Installation and commissioning activities are expected to take up to six months to complete, with liquids production expected to increase to 20-25,000 b/d in H2 2025.” The second train nominally doubles liquids handling capacity to 32,000 b/d. 1H 2024 output averaged 14,800 b/d and 493mn cfd (MEES, 13 September).
Energean on 29 October said that the train had been “lifted onto the Energean Power FPSO” after delivery from the Cypriot port of Limassol where it had been held for several months due to the security situation – installation was originally due to begin in late 2023 (MEES, 17 November 2023).
