Israel hopes the ceasefire deal with Hezbollah, which entered effect 27 November, will encourage foreign contractors to return to the country’s offshore and resume key gas expansion projects.

US major Chevron, operator of both Israel’s key gas fields, 23tcf Leviathan and 14tcf Tamar, put expansion projects at both on hold due to the conflict.
