Adnoc Gas, the gas processing subsidiary of Abu Dhabi state energy firm Adnoc, says that the outlook for the UAE’s gas demand has been revised up substantially. Having previously forecast annual growth of around 2% over 2023-30, it is now projecting a significantly faster clip of 6%.
The firm unveiled its new demand outlook during its 2024 Strategy Update last month, and the results have significant implications for the Adnoc Gas business model. This significantly more bullish demand outlook also makes the UAE’s target of reaching gas self-sufficiency by the end of the decade tougher still. (CONTINUED - 971 WORDS)
