Adnoc Gas announced on 4 December that it has awarded a Feed contract for its planned 1.8bn cfd Bab Gas Cap processing plant to Australia’s Worley Engineering. FID is expected in 2026, with Adnoc Gas stating earlier this year that completion is planned for 2028 (MEES, 10 May). Adnoc expects that the Bab gas cap will produce 1.5bn cfd of gas and 80,000 b/d of condensate.
Ahmed Alebri, CEO of Adnoc Gas, says “Today is an important step forward for this project, which has the potential to substantially increase our gas processing capacity, unlock additional revenue and strengthen Adnoc Gas’ position as a global gas supplier.
