Jordan and Egypt on 1 December signed a cooperation agreement allowing Jordan to import “up to 350mn cfd of gas” on a “flexible” basis via “floating storage and regasification units (FSRUs) in Egypt over the next two years.” The deal enters effect immediately and will last until the end of 2026.
Egypt currently has one FSRU, the 750mn cfd Hoegh Galleon, moored at Ain Sukhna on the Gulf of Suez. But it has chartered a second from late next year. (CONTINUED - 786 WORDS)
