Algerian state oil and gas giant Sonatrach has awarded a $1.1bn EPC contract to Italy’s Maire Tecnimont for a long-delayed linear alkyl benzene (LAB) plant at the port of Skikda.
The 7 March award “entails the implementation of a new LAB plant with a production capacity of 100,000 tons per year, and the associated utilities, offsites and interconnections with the existing facilities,” the Italian firm says. (CONTINUED - 372 WORDS)
