The energy ministers of Israel and Cyprus, Eli Cohen and George Papanastasiou, met in Tel-Aviv on 27 March with the main topic plans to link the two countries’ electricity grids (MEES, 2 February).
They pledged to “promote joint energy projects, including the construction of the submarine electric cable that will connect Israel to Cyprus and from there to Europe (Great Sea Interconnector) and which will be promoted as a top priority this year,” Cyprus’ Energy Ministry says.
