Having completed its Crude Flexibility Project (CFP) upgrades to the 417,000 b/d Ruwais West refinery, Adnoc is now able to refine medium-sour crude grades, freeing up significant volumes of its flagship Murban crude (40°API, 0.7% Sulfur) for export.
Murban exports are on course to set a monthly record of more than 1.6mn b/d in April, after Adnoc delivered 360,000 b/d of its Upper Zakum crude (34° API, 1.75% Sulfur) to Ruwais last month (MEES, 26 April). Having regularly supplied Ruwais with Upper Zakum cargoes since September, Adnoc is now truly trialing the ‘flexibility’ aspect of the project. (CONTINUED - 767 WORDS)
