Qatar this week unveiled its first ever national renewable energy strategy. After conducting a formal study of scenarios, state offtaker Kahramaa is targeting 4GW of renewable energy capacity by 2030.
Previous targets for renewable energy were released under state firm QatarEnergy’s Sustainability Strategy which aimed for 2-4GW of renewables by 2030 and over 5GW by 2035 (MEES, 11 March 2022). (CONTINUED - 898 WORDS)
