Shell Oman on 16 July awarded pre-FEED contracts to UK engineering firm Wood for its planned Blue Horizons blue hydrogen facility at Duqm
Collaborating with Shell via a joint study agreement is Oman’s state energy firm OQ, gas network company OQGN, and Oman’s largest hydrocarbon producer PDO. This last partner will provide the site for the CO2 store in its massive Block 6 concession “very close” to Duqm (MEES, 22 December 2023).
