In a repeat of the run-up to 2022’s Cop27 in Egypt, last weekend’s Egypt-EU Investment conference (MEES, 5 July) saw a slew of big-ticket green hydrogen MoUs and other provisional agreements.
Of these, the most eye-catching saw BP join forces with UAE state firm Masdar, the latter’s Egyptian renewables JV Infinity Power and local firm Hassan Allam Utilities in signing a framework Joint Development Agreement (JDA) with Cairo “to explore the potential development of a multi-phase green hydrogen (gH2) project in Egypt.” (CONTINUED - 476 WORDS)
