Dubai’s Dewa says that its installed power generation capacity has increased by 500MW to 16.8GW since the start of the year following the completion of new gas and solar power facilities. The expansion work comes amid strong electricity consumption growth driven by robust economic activity.

Capacity at Dubai’s Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum (MBR) Solar Park has now increased to 2.86GW, marking the completion of the complex’s first five phases. MBR capacity had started the year at 2.63GW as work was ongoing at the 950MW mixed PV/CSP Phase 4 development. (CONTINUED - 453 WORDS)
