Sudan’s army-led government is seeking new oil and electricity projects in the Red Sea city of Port Sudan, which is becoming the center of government for the war-torn country with Libya-style partition the new reality (MEES, 12 April).

The government led by the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) announced on 29 July that oil minister Mohieddine Saeed would lead a delegation of Sudanese oil and electricity companies to China in late August, proposing several projects including “building a new refinery in Port Sudan.” (CONTINUED - 253 WORDS)
