The project will be developed by the newly formed Najim Cogeneration Company special purpose entity owned by Taqa (51%) and Jera (49%) on a 25-year build, own, operate basis which is extendable by five years.

The CCGT plant is being developed at the Satorp refining complex owned by Aramco (62.5%), TotalEnergies (37.5%) and will supply power to the partners’ under-development Amiral petrochemicals complex adjacent to the plant. It is expected to start up in 2027 (MEES, 29 March). (CONTINUED - 165 WORDS)
