Qatar’s state-backed shipping company Nakilat added forty vessels to its orderbook in the first half of the year, bringing its planned fleet up to 114, according to its 7 August 1H results.

The firm currently has 69 LNG carriers, 4 LPG carriers, and one FSRU in its fleet. From 2026 onwards it will add another 27 conventional-sized carriers (174,000cbm), 9 QC-Max LNG carriers (271,000cbm) and 4 LPG/Ammonia carriers (88,000cbm).
