Adnoc has signed a Heads of Agreement (HoA) with IndianOil for the supply of 1mn t/y of LNG from its under development 9.6mn t/y Ruwais LNG plant. The new LNG terminal is due online in 2028, and under the 15-year agreement, LNG cargoes will be shipped to IndianOil’s destination ports in India (MEES, 21 July 2023). The deal follows a 1.2mn t/y deal signed last year for Adnoc to supply IndianOil from its existing 5.8mn t/y Das Island facilities, and if finalized will mean Adnoc delivering 2.2mn t/y to the Indian firm. Adnoc says this will make IndianOil its largest client.

“India is an important, strategic partner of the UAE and this agreement underscores Adnoc’s commitment to delivering secure, lower-carbon energy to support the country’s energy security,” says Adnoc marketing chief Rashid Khalfan Al Mazrouei. (CONTINUED - 233 WORDS)
