Jordan’s state utility Nepco has signed a 10-year charter agreement with BW Energy for a floating storage unit (FSU) to be moored at Aqaba on the Red Sea terminal from Q3 or Q4 of 2026. The FSU will service a planned onshore receiving terminal slated for 2Q 2026 completion (MEES, 23 August),
Once the 10-year period is over Nepco will take ownership of the converted LNG carrier, according to BW. Jordan currently leases the 750mn cfd Energos Eskimo FSRU which is moored at Aqaba and which has recently imported cargoes on behalf of Egypt (MEES, 13 September). (CONTINUED - 138 WORDS)
