Israel exported a record 981mn cfd of gas to Egypt for 2024 with December volumes rising to a record-equaling monthly figure of 1.065bn cfd, according to data obtained by MEES.

From initial modest volumes in January 2020 following the start-up of Israel’s 23tcf Leviathan field (MEES, 17 January 2020), Egypt has grown ever-more dependent on its neighbor due to a growing gas deficit.
