Algeria exported just 389,000 tons of LNG for January, by far the lowest monthly figure in data intelligence firm Kpler’s 17-year database.

Piped gas exports to Italy and Spain were up slightly year-on-year, but this still left overall gas exports down 8% at 3.50bcm (3.99bn cfd), the lowest monthly figure since the peak-Covid year of 2020 (see chart 1).
