A 5 February report from Israel’s NewMed Energy, which partners Chevron at Israel’s giant Leviathan field, indicates that the field’s total expected recoverable gas volumes have been revised down from 22.90tcf to 22.31tcf.

As of end-2024, Leviathan’s proved and probable (2P) reserves were 14.83tcf according to the figures prepared by Netherland, Sewell & Associates. Whilst this is down 0.34tcf on the end-2023 figure, this actually implies a slight upgrade to the 2P figure given that the fall is less than that accounted for by 2024 output of 0.40tcf (1.09bn cfd).
