Algeria’s Fertial has awarded US firm KBR a contract for a study into improving the safety, reliability and energy efficiency at two Algerian ammonia plants. KBR says the study is intended to lead to a 50% hike in the 1970s-vintage plants’ overall ammonia production capacity.
KBR says the revamp will be carried out in phases. In the first phase, KBR will define the technical scope and pinpoint the commercial requirements prior to licensing its technology. (CONTINUED - 281 WORDS)
