Masdar and partners announced on 17 March the start-up of the 100mw capacity Shams 1 solar plant, the world’s largest concentrated solar power (CSP) installation.
Sultan Ahmad al-Jabir, CEO of Abu Dhabi state renewables firm Masdar, said: “The inauguration of Shams 1 is a major breakthrough for renewable energy in the Middle East.
