The Gulf’s power capacity surge continues, with Oman and Saudi Arabia completing major combined cycle gas turbine (CCGT) plants and Iraq agreeing on plans for another. The two Oman plants and the Saudi plant were both developed by consortia led by France’s GDF Suez, while the Iraqi plant will be built by Greece’s Metka.
