Turkey currently has 2.45GW of wind capacity and aims to raise the total to 20GW by 2023 as part of a strategy to reduce reliance on imported gas for power generation (MEES, 23 August 2013).
Spain’s Acciona last month signed up to supply Turkey’s ZT Enerji with 19 3MW wind turbines for the Cercikaya wind farm in Hatay province. Deliveries will take place in 2014-15 and start-up is scheduled for February 2015. (CONTINUED - 289 WORDS)
