A two-year dispute over what Ankara says is an unfair price being charged by Iran for its gas is set to rumble on, after a top Iranian official dismissed Turkey’s latest appeals for a discount as “unacceptable.”
Turkey has since early 2012 been pushing for a revision in the price it pays for gas imports from Iran, going so far as to open an arbitration case against the Islamic Republic earlier this month. As well as the price issue, Ankara is citing unreliable gas supplies during winter 2011-12, and more recently at the back-end of last year. (CONTINUED - 739 WORDS)
